Profile Marine Claims Bureau

Marine Claims Bureau

Founded in 1980 in Antwerp by ex-seafarer and knowledgeable P&I claims handler Francis De Noyette, with the backing of local prominent shareholders, namely ship owners and ro-ro operators Cobelfret, ship managers UBEM and the shipping services group Herfurth & Boutmy.

From the outset, the company grew in the claims handling field as claims agents for the Cobelfret group, as well as correspondents of some of the world’s most renown P&I Clubs. Over the years M.C.B. has developed important know-how in handling claims resulting from intermodal transport and container logistics.

Having become a network partner for TT Club, M.C.B. was able to develop particular skills in handling a wide range of claims arising from road, rail or sea transport, container handling and storage, as well as a variety of other risks related to the transport of goods such as property damages, liability of transport intermediary, etc. Our claims services cover, in principle, the BENELUX countries but very often, at the request of our customers, our services exceed those boundaries.
